Sewing Sessions for a Young Person are a great way to develop life skills
Teen Monthly Sewing Club
Time: 2 hours
Location: Create and Sew Studio, Chorley town centre
Price: £25
Tutor: Dawn
Class Size: Max 6
We have a monthly teen class for young fashionistas aged 13-17. This is your chance to get stuck into your chosen project for a few hours with our tutor to hand to support, help and encourage you and help with any issues you may come up against.
There is plenty of time and space to enjoy a dedicated few hours sewing time just for you. Bring along your own sewing project. We have sewing machines, overlockers, cutting tables and equipment for you to use.
Refreshments and biscuits are provided.
Parent and Child Learn to Sew
Time: 2.5 hours
Location: Create and Sew Studio, Chorley town centre
Price: £40 per person (adult or child)
Tutor: Dawn
Class Size: Limited to 6 people
Our fabulous Parent and Child Class as featured on the BBC One Show is your opportunity to learn a new skill with your child. In this class you’ll both be using our fabulous studio sewing machines and learn how to thread and work the sewing machine then progress to make a cute cushion with a pocket each.
We provide fabric and all the equipment needed and refreshments and a snack in this class - if your child has any dietary requirements please bring some snacks for them.
Children must be aged 8 plus and any adult can come along whether it be mum, dad, friend of the family or grandparent.
Child Learn to Sew
Time: 2.5 hours

Class Size: Limited to 6 people
Our fabulous Children's learn to sew class is perfect for those budding Sewing Bees.
We will teach them how to use a sewing machine properly. In this they will be using our fabulous studio sewing machines, these have a needle threader and needle guard and speed control which is perfect for young sewists.
They will learn how to thread and work the sewing machine then progress to make a cute cushion with a pocket.
We provide fabric, threads and all the equipment needed and refreshments and a snack in this class - if your child has any dietary requirements please bring some snacks for them.

Dawn
Owner of Create and Sew Studio
Dawn Elliott, the founder of Create and Sew Studio, has always had a passion for creativity. Born in Fife, Scotland, Dawn moved to England with her family at the age of 15. After completing her studies in college and university, she settled in the North West of England with her husband and two children. Dawn's journey into sewing began with her mother and grandmother, who taught her to knit and inspired her love for handmade crafts.
Heather
Studio Assistant
Works part time whilst studying at uni. She helps with all sorts of tasks at the studio from
social media, planning and anything Dawn needs help with.
Ruth
Tutor
Our very talented quilter. Loves quilting and the more creative side of free-motion machine embroidery.
Previously a cake shop owner Ruth loves helping others and teaches quilting and a few other classes.
Hannah
Tutor
Our very talented dressmaking tutor. Day to day, she works at a studio making curtains and blinds, however she is an incredible seamstress too.
Julie
Tutor
Julie is our crochet and macramé tutor, they are her favourite craft, she loves creating and learning new projects and finds them both very relaxing. She crochets a lot in her spare time and you can often find her stalls at craft fairs!
